Job Description

Blocktech Mep are looking on behalf of their client for Gas Engineers to join their rapidly expanding team on a 6-month contract basis. Whether you’re looking to earn good money or grow with a company and be part of the foundations this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

The role is to carry out surveys in domestic buildings, identifying faults and minor remediation where needed. As an example, labelling pipework, replacing ECV’s, replacing/installing additional pipe brackets.

As a DMS surveyor you will be required to carry out a walking detection survey from the gas main to the building line and around the perimeter of the building as appropriate to also include:

  • The main supply pipe to the building
  • Any visible gas pipework
  • Accessible pipe entries
  • Surface boxes and any building openings

Our client is looking for candidates to meet most of the following skills and attributes:

  • CCN1 or equivalent
  • MET 1 (Preferable)
  • Minimum of 1 years’ experience within the gas industry
  • Good Work Ethic
  • Customer relation skills and able to deliver a friendly and professional service
  • A good record with time keeping and attendance
  • Ability to self-manage and motivate
  • An understanding of IT and experience using tablets to update surveys
  • Own van without signing writing
